As a baby, I couldn’t quite say “Grandma”—so I called her “Ga.” The name stuck, and soon my sister and cousins were calling her that, too. To this day, even as adults, she’s still our beloved Ga.

 

Ga isn’t just our grandma—she’s a cookie legend. Her frozen chocolate chip cookies were the highlight of every family visit, a delicious secret among friends and relatives. They are the kind of cookies you remember for a long time.
